Electronic Engineering
Cambridge Design Partnership is a consulting company that develops innovative new products in the medical, consumer and cleantech sectors. Our electronics engineering team can develop innovative systems for both consumer and professional applications from FPGA and ASIC based systems to complex analogue electronics. As well as ARM based PDA platforms and various other processor architectures, we specialise in creating products integrating novel sensors and electromechanical systems, often with an emphasis on telecoms or datacoms and we have considerable expertise in location based systems. In the video below Mike Beadman explains more about our capability in electronic engineering.

Electronics is a fast moving, highly competitive sector. A clear and carefully considered strategy is essential to create sustainable value.
At Cambridge Design Partnership we work with a variety of business models in many industry sectors which gives us the insights to work with our clients to create electronic based products ahead of market change.
We take a systems approach to electronics development, working in an integrated team together with software and mechanical engineers as well as user interface specialists.
Today, hardware and software development are inseparable. You need to develop an understanding of the software challenge alongside the hardware to optimise the final product.
Indeed, often smart use of analogue electronics can significantly increase performance and reduce cost and in today’s digital electronics world this is becoming a rare skill set.
Looking beyond the pure design and development we have a wide experience of global manufacturing options, both locally in Europe and in the Far East. Our experience of designing for manufacture and test is vital to inform and direct the development process and allow us to advise on the appropriate manufacturing direction.
Most importantly, electronic system developments must always start with a clear understanding of the customer and their business needs to develop profitable and successful new products and services.
You can hear from my colleagues about other aspects of our integrated innovation process elsewhere on this website.
