Cambridge Design Partnership is a consulting company that develops innovative new products in the medical, consumer and cleantech sectors. Our manufacturing engineering team focus on helping our clients take new products to market in minimum time. This includes developing novel manufacturing processes and quality systems for both manual and automated manufacture. We have particular expertise in medical devices including certification programs in Europe and US. We set up supply chains in both the West and East as appropriate. At Cambridge Design Partnership we understand that our clients need to get their new products to market quickly and reliably if they’re to maximise their return on investment.

Our manufacturing team draw on experiences from many industries, so we’ve got the specialist skills to offer two main services – Launch Management and Manufacturing Equipment.

Launch Management is about proving that a product can be manufactured and shipped and will meet the business requirements. It often starts with quality planning and supplier selection. We work with East and West to find the right supplier for the job. We ensure manufacturing input is considered and built into the design to ensure feasibility. We hand over clear documentation, organise pilot builds and part approvals to show that it can be built smoothly and correctly, and that everything is in its place to start shipping product to customers.

Often products require innovative manufacturing processes. Our engineers can design, manufacture and prove test and inspection systems, as well as novel process equipment, right through to complete CE-approved and compliant assembly lines.

We’re particularly efficient where the product and the manufacturing process developments are integrated and done in parallel, or where speed is required.
