Alan is a seasoned innovation professional with a focus on making innovation happen from the front end. His systematic approach builds on a formal engineering education and nearly fifteen years’ experience tackling strategic business and technology challenges. He brings a rare combination of creative, analytical and technical skills that allows him to challenge the industry specific assumptions that often limit innovation. With a passion for lean thinking and corporate intrapreneurship, he is on a mission to help his clients to “reinvent the world”.

Alan has a track record of delivering breakthrough innovation for world-class companies including The North Face (VF Corporation), Procter & Gamble, Electrolux, LEGO, Nestlé, Wonderbra (Hanesbrands), General Mills, GSK, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Akzo Nobel and Marks & Spencer.

Prior to joining CDP, Alan was a Director at Innovia Technology where he made a substantial contribution to the growth of the firm in terms of new business development, organisational structure and board-level leadership. Alan holds a Master’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing) from Cambridge University and is an inventor on more than twenty patents in sectors as broad as diverse as automotive, sports-goods, healthcare and apparel.
